(in Canada)

Friday March 9 to Tuesday March 13, 2012

Youth Leadership Training is an annual youth conference which started to provide, well... youth leadership training.  Sounds simple!!!  The conference was started to equip and encourage young people who had a desire to share their faith with others and wanted to serve in their local church.  This weekend will give valuable tools to assist young people to serve.  This is done through:

Bible Teaching

Leadership and outreach will only be effective when done in a God glorifying way. It is important to understand the message we are to share.  Therefore, we spend a lot of the time looking at what the Bible teaches.

Topical Seminars

At each conference a number of seminars are given on practical subjects such as:

  • Giving your testimony
  • Children's ministry
  • Defending your faith
  • How to organize a Bible study

Practical Experience

Each year there are opportunities to assist with outreach and to gain experience in a hands-on way.

Personal Growth

It is impossible to separate ministry from our own relationship with God.  With that in mind, we set aside time to pray, think about God's Word, and meditate on our walk with God.

Why "Not of this World"?

The theme for this year's conference is "Not of this World".  It is important that we understand that when we become a Christian we are radically changed.  Our relationship with this world is forever different.  In Romans 12:2 Christians are told, "Do not be conformed to this world."  As we think about this topic, we trust that we will have a more Biblical understanding of what it is to be a Christian.
