Elsie May Wallace

1909-2004

Elsie was born in Scotland and when still a young girl at a meeting in James Street Hall in Dunfermline, Scotland she realized her need of a Saviour and placed her faith and trust in Jesus Christ and was born anew into God's family.  Hearing the call of God into full-time Christian service she commenced a period of training at The Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh.  September 10, 1934 she married Mr. John Wallace and for the next seventy years they have lived for the Lord.  Mr. Wallace served as General Director of The Faith Mission (in Canada) up until 1980 and was rarely seen without Elsie at his side.  Her musical and typing talents, as well as her gift of hospitality were widely respected both in Faith Mission circles and in Calvary Church, Toronto.  On November 10th, 2004 after a long illness, she heard the call into a nearer presence of the Saviour she loved and served so faithfully.  We have no doubt she has heard the "well done good and faithful servant."
