Rev'd Shaw comes to us
from Northern Ireland where he has had a very fruitful ministry.
Converted as a teenager, he was immediately immersed in the ministry
of prayer and evangelism. He never lost the passion for lost
souls and true revival. He has preached on most continents and
his ministry is much sought after at many of this world's spiritual
conventions.
He is a student of
revival...
"Revival", he
writes, " like most other works of the Spirit of God has had its
critics as well as its advocates... Whatever the skeptics and critics
may have said of these excesses and weaknesses, there can be little
doubt that the benefits and blessings of such great times of
refreshing from God far exceed the faults and flaws... True
revival will restore:
1. An awareness of God that seems to be
missing
2. An attitude to sin that seems to be
missing
3. An appetite for prayer that seems to
be missing
4. An appreciation for Scripture that
seems to be missing
5. An aggressiveness in service that
seems to be missing
"In a time of extreme apathy among Christian people, yet when
talk about revival has become trendy, many Christians have no real
concept of true God-sent revival." |
